Our location

Quiet, scenic, and semi-secluded.

Samloem Laguna is at the quiet southern end of Saracen Bay, away from the busiest part of the main beach. The setting suits guests looking for bay views, gardens, nature, and fewer crowds.

A pathway connects the resort with the main beach. It is about a 10-minute walk from the property to the nearest end of the main beach. Reaching the far end of Saracen Bay can take around 1.5 hours.

Please check that this location suits your holiday. If you prefer a busier atmosphere, review your booking's cancellation policy and contact your reservation agent as soon as possible.

Know before you go

Comfortable island living, with off-grid realities.

Koh Rong Samloem remains a tropical island with absent central infrastructure. Roads can be rough and may become impassable during rainy season; most travel is conducted via boats. Samloem Laguna operates with solar power, generator backup, stream water, and a deep ground well. Temporary interruptions can occur.

Your room

Rooms have high ceilings, powerful fans, and large tinted windows. There is no air conditioning or television. Warm showers are available in some rooms.

Monkeys and dogs

Do not leave food or belongings where monkeys can take them. The resort's dogs, Tommy and Kenzo, are friendly with people but may react to aggressive behaviour.

Horses

The resort is home to two horses. Never approach a horse from directly behind, as it may be startled and kick.
